Create :)

These are some things I made for the Scrapping Outback Mini Masters Cybercrop.

We had to make a party favour bag and gift card. I am going to use it for my Mum's birthday next week, with something sparkly from the jewellers inside!

And this was for the sketch challenge. The photos are when we were getting warmed up for Sophie's first dancing lessons. Which we are now having a break from until she is a little older...

The father's day card I made for my hubby

And this gorgeous boy for his first Student of the Week at the end of last term... he was proud as punch!!! And so he should be... he is the fastest at cleaning up and always follows instructions according to his teacher!!
He makes me proud :)
That's it... hopefully I'll get back into the scrap room soon. There is a new comp starting at SO soon, it's sure to get the mojo flowing again!

Camera play!

Hello there!!! It's been a while...

These photos are from my first day of playing with my new camera... about a month ago now!! Sophie was all dressed in yellow, ready for Daffodil Day at Kindy. And Kody.... just because he's cute! I have SO much to learn but have been enjoying snapping away!!

I havn't scrapped too much lately but I will be back to share what I have done over the past few weeks.

Hope the holidays are treating everyone well!

A very special day....

Today was a very special day for....
ME! ME! ME!
My wonderful hubby had the day off work and took me off shopping for this...
I got a Canon 450D with 3 different lenses and managed to squabble a bit and got some other goodies thrown in too :) camera bag, cleaning stuff, memory card...
I've been dreaming about getting one for so long now but was so nervous about choosing the wrong one, spending the money... feels good now though!! It's not often I get spoilt, I'm usually the one doing the spoiling :) So THANKS babe!!
I am SO EXCITED!!! I can't wait to have a play... have to start work soon though so might not be until tonight :( I have so much to learn as I know absolutely nothing about them... so throw me some tips! Off on holidays in a few weeks, look out kids - Mummy's got a new toy to chase you with!!!
Had to share the excitement :)
Have a great day! xx

SOMM kit creation.. and an award!

The 4th challenge for the SO Mini Masters is to create a layout using their kit, this is what I came up with.... Gorgeous papers and embellies, perfect for a 'sweet' layout! Cupcakes are often a treat after school and the kids LOVE them... I love that they enjoy these simple little things in life, and hope that they continue to do so!!

And I received this gorgeous little award from Tiff - thanks, you're so sweet!! Right back at ya babe!!! :)

The two inspiring blogs that I visit most are

Leeanne

and

Sheree

so I pass her on to them! There is always something great to be found on their blogs!

SO mini masters entries

Welcome to a new week! Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend.. our was filled with sick children unfortunately which seem to be starting to get better so fingers crossed!!
Here are 2 out of 4 of the entries I have to do for SO mini masters... a monochromatic LO and a double 'outdoors theme' LO

I chose natural greens and a lovely place we like to go some weekends just to walk around and enjoy the outdoors. Our 'happy' place! We plan on camping there when it warms up, it's just so beautiful. The title says "A happy place... we go together' (sorry, dodgy photographer - it's a bit hard to read) The chippy tree is from scrapware, I have inked it, added a touch of glitter, tiny glass beads and DM and then used a heat gun on the branches to bubble it up for texture and an aged look. Then added some ribbon - just because! I stamped the background with paint and bubble wrap. I usually scrap about people so it was a nice change from that.

Drew's first school sports day ball games. He tried so hard and was stoked to be the leader! he was int he Sharks team, hence the waves and war cry along the top of the bottom photos. I used Bella School Dayz pp and rusty pickle alpha's, SO chipboard that I won as a monthly prize a while ago. I rarely do doubles so it was quite a challenge!
Hopefully I will have the other 2 entries to share before long - a mini album and a LO using the mini masters kit (which is very nice!!)
Thanks for dropping in!

Idol week 3!

This week we had to do a monochromatic layout, but could balance it with black and white. So I chose Sophie's favourite colour and her 'pink' 4th birthday party photos to use. Very pretty and girly.... just as she is! I only added a little white - the chippy ring and the lace and everything else is pink, pink, pink! I have to do another monochromatic layout for the SO mini masters... but no balancing with other colours... THAT will be challenging!!
Now just have to wait and see if I get through to round 4 of Idol.
Enjoy your weekend!

It's been a while....

Once again, it's been ages between posts! Not that I've created much... or done anything too exciting. I have entered a few comps so I have deadlines, that usually pulls me into line! I have entered the Embellished Idol competition and the Scrapping Outback Mini Masters. Wish me luck! There are way too many hugely talented ladies out there for me to win... but I love how doing the challenges they set help my mojo and leave me with creations I wouldn't have had otherwise. My mojo sure does need a help along these days.... it goes missing ALOT!

Anyway, here are my first 2 entries for Idol

I received this photo in a christmas card last year and have wanted to scrap it for ages... some very special friends!

We've been married almost 7 years... so it's taken a while to scrap this one too!

Thanks for dropping in, hopefully I'll have more to show soon... if time permits!
Have a great Sunday :)
